Woodworking Page

From time to time I’ll post pictures of my woodworking projects.  In 2004, I had a table saw accident and stopped wood working for a number of years.  My daughter, a wood artist helped me get started again by designing a new mantel for our living room fire place.  She started working with me to build it, and then returned home to Southern California and left me to finish the project.  I thoroughly enjoyed the work and continued on with other projects after the mantel was completed.

I was buying some cherry wood to make a repair.  While there I saw a piece of wood.  My daughter had told me that sometimes wood “spoke” to her.  I used to think that was a weird idea until I saw this piece of wood.   That piece of wood eventually became two end tables.  One of them is pictured here.
